Pastoral Care

The Commission on Pastoral Care and Special Ministries assists the pastor in caring for the sick.  Many of its members have completed Hospice Ministry training through Baptist Memorial. 

Commission members provide a parish presence by making sick calls with the pastor and meeting the special needs of the infirm.  Some of the services include providing the Eucharist, making regular visits with the sick and their families, delivering hot meals, and performing Vatican services for the infirm.

The commission also serves the community at large by providing special ministries.  Although the parish has limited resources, the commission explores the economic, cultural and pastoral needs of the community and the extent to which the parish can meet these special needs.
